Section 1 Body: A guilt complex often comes with the idea of “wanting more” when God has blessed us with so much already! Then I heard one of my favorite quotes: “Be Thankful, but Not Satisfied!” The word “more” alone is relative! More than what?
As long as my drive to work was determined by someone else, so was my lifestyle!
As long as my paycheck was determined by someone else, so was my lifestyle!
As long as my time spent with family was determined by someone else, so was my lifestyle!
As long as my ability to travel and see the world was determine by someone else, so was my lifestyle!
Then it all changed within 5 minutes and an ink pen DERAILED my lifestyle! Well, true enough the pen was in the hands of my so called “boss,” but the damage was already done. I would lose my apartment in 45 days or less if what you are telling me is true. “Ok so let me get this straight….I’m not fired, but I am laid off?” #SameThingToMe #NoIncome #LostApartment
Well thank GOD, I was “Thankful, But Not Satisfied” because that lay off at age 19, gave me the wake up call I needed to “fire the next boss” at age 22. I never looked back. I’m not encouraging you to burn a bridge and retire prematurely or irresponsibly. What I am encouraging you to do is create a business or study some passive forms of income so that will never feel the “blues caused by black ink.”
Take some time today and write down 3-5 things you would “do for free,” then think of 3-5 ways to monetize them. #BusinessPlan
